Automatic brake hold indicator light (white/green)

This light shows the current status of the Automatic brake hold system, allowing the driver to see at a glance whether the feature is ready or actively holding the vehicle in place.

The white automatic brake hold symbol appears when the system is on standby. In this state, the function has been switched on and is prepared to engage once the required operating conditions are met.

When the symbol changes to green, the system is actively operating. At that moment, the Nissan Murano is being held at a stop by Automatic brake hold, so the driver does not need to keep constant pressure on the brake pedal while the function remains engaged.

High Beam Assist indicator light (green)

This green symbol appears when the headlights are on, the headlight switch is set to the AUTO position, and high beams have been selected. It tells the driver that High Beam Assist is available and managing high-beam operation according to the surrounding lighting conditions.

High beam indicator light (blue)

This blue light comes on when the headlight high beams are on and goes out when the low beams are selected. Because high beams can affect other road users, the blue symbol gives the driver a clear reminder of which lighting mode is currently in use.

Low beam indicator light (green)

This light comes on when the switch is turned to the position. The headlights will come on; and the front side, tail, number plate, and instrument lights remain on. For everyday night driving in the Nissan Murano, this setting represents the normal low-beam lighting mode.

Side light and headlight indicator light (green)

The side light and headlight indicator light illuminates when the side light or headlight position is selected. This makes it easier to verify the exterior lighting status before moving off, parking, or driving in dim conditions.

Turn signal/hazard indicator lights (green)

The appropriate light flashes when the turn signal switch is activated. The flashing arrow follows the direction selected by the driver, so the signal status can be checked without looking away from the road for long.

Both lights flash when the hazard switch is turned on. When this happens, the left and right arrows operate together to show that the hazard warning lights are active.

Audible reminders

Brake pad wear warning

The disc brake pads have audible wear warnings. When a disc brake pad requires replacement, it makes a high pitched scraping sound when the vehicle is in motion, whether or not the brake pedal is depressed. This sound should not be treated as normal brake noise, because it is intended to draw attention to worn brake pads before the condition becomes more serious. Have the brakes checked as soon as possible if the warning sound is heard, as continued driving may reduce braking performance and can lead to additional brake system wear.

Light reminder chime

With the ignition switch placed in the OFF position, a chime sounds when the driver's door is opened if the headlights or parking lights are on. The reminder is useful after night driving or short stops, when the lighting switch can easily be left in the wrong position.

Turn the headlight control switch off before leaving the vehicle. This simple step helps prevent unnecessary battery drain and keeps the Nissan Murano ready for the next start.

NISSAN Intelligent Key door buzzer (if so equipped)

The Intelligent Key door buzzer sounds if any one of the following improper operations is found. Instead of relying only on a message in the display, the audible buzzer immediately draws attention to a possible key-related mistake.

• The Intelligent Key is left inside the vehicle when locking the doors.
• The Intelligent Key is taken outside the vehicle when operating the vehicle.

When the buzzer sounds, be sure to check both the vehicle and the Intelligent Key. Verifying the key location right away can help avoid lockout situations, interrupted operation, or confusion when leaving or returning to the vehicle.
