Horn

To sound the horn, press near the horn icon on the steering wheel. Use the horn only when it is necessary to alert other road users or help avoid a potential hazard.

WARNING Do not disassemble the horn or attempt to modify the steering wheel area. Doing so could affect proper operation of the supplemental front air bag system in the Nissan Murano.

Tampering with the supplemental front air bag system may cause the system to operate incorrectly and could result in serious personal injury or death.

Climate controlled seat switches

The climate controlled seat system warms or cools the front seat by moving heated or cooled air through the seat surface from below. This allows the front occupants of the Nissan Murano to adjust seat comfort through ventilation or heating, depending on cabin conditions and personal preference.

The climate controlled seat can be operated through the center display using the following steps:

1. Place the ignition switch in the ON position so the seat comfort controls are available.

2. Select the seat icon in the center display.

Choose either the heated seat 1 or the cooled seat 2, depending on whether you want warm airflow or cool airflow from the front seat.

3. Adjust the desired amount of air using the arrows in the center display. After the switch is turned on or the desired temperature is selected, the climate controlled seat blower remains at low speed for approximately 60 seconds before operating according to the selected setting.

4. When the vehicle interior has reached a comfortable temperature, or before leaving the vehicle, be sure to set the climate controlled seat controls to the off position.

To have the air filter for the climate controlled seat inspected, it is recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer.

WARNING Do not use or allow occupants to use the climate controlled seats if you or the occupants cannot monitor seat temperature, cannot react to excessive heat or cooling, or have reduced ability to feel pain in the parts of the body that contact the seat. Use of the climate controlled seats by such occupants could result in serious injury.

CAUTION

• The battery could discharge if the climate controlled seat is operated while the engine is not running.
• Do not use the climate controlled seat for an extended period of time or when no one is occupying the seat.
• Do not place items that insulate heat, such as blankets, cushions, seat covers, or similar materials, on the seat. Otherwise, the seat may become overheated.
• Do not place hard or heavy objects on the seat, and do not pierce the seat with a pin, needle, or similar object. This may damage the climate controlled seat components.
• Any liquid spilled on the seat should be removed immediately with a dry cloth to help prevent damage or staining.
• The climate controlled seat is equipped with an air filter. Do not operate the climate controlled seat without the air filter installed, because this may damage the system.
• When cleaning the seat, never use gasoline, benzine, thinner, or any similar chemical materials.
• If a malfunction is noticed or the climate controlled seat does not operate properly, turn the switch off and have the system checked. It is recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for this service.

Heated seat switches

WARNING Do not use or allow occupants to use the seat heater if you or the occupants cannot monitor increased seat temperature, cannot respond to excessive heat, or have reduced ability to feel pain in the parts of the body that contact the seat. Use of the seat heater by such occupants could result in serious injury.

CAUTION

• The battery could discharge if the seat heater is operated while the engine is not running.
• Do not use the seat heater for long periods of time or when no one is sitting in the seat.
• Do not place anything on the seat that traps heat, such as a blanket, cushion, seat cover, or similar item. Otherwise, the seat may become overheated.
• Do not place hard or heavy objects on the seat, and do not pierce it with a pin, needle, or similar object. This may damage the heater.
• Any liquid spilled on the heated seat should be removed immediately with a dry cloth.
• When cleaning the seat, never use gasoline, benzine, thinner, or similar materials.
• If a malfunction is found or the heated seat does not operate, turn the switch off and have the system checked. It is recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for this service.

The front seats are warmed by built-in heaters that operate through the seat controls in the center display.

1. Place the ignition switch in the ON position.

2. Select the seat icon in the center display.

Choose the heated seat 1 to activate heating for the selected front seat.

The heater is regulated by a thermostat, which automatically turns the heating element on and off as needed.

3. Adjust the desired amount of heat using the heated seat 1 control in the center display.

The temperature can also be controlled automatically. The system uses thermostat control to help maintain the selected temperature setting and provide consistent seat warmth in the Nissan Murano.

4. When the seat has warmed to a comfortable level, or before leaving the vehicle, be sure to set the controls to the off position.
