Air bags, seat belts and child restraints
- Roof-mounted curtain side-impact and rollover supplemental air bags, positioned along the upper side areas of the cabin to help provide additional coverage for outboard occupants when the system is activated.
- LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren) system, designed to help secure compatible child restraint seats using the designated lower anchor points and tether locations.
- Head restraints/headrests for the front and rear seating positions, used to support proper seating posture and help reduce excessive head movement in certain impacts.
- Front seat belt with pretensioner(s) and shoulder height adjuster, allowing the belt to sit more appropriately across the shoulder while the pretensioner system is integrated into the restraint design.
- Front seats, including the main seating structures used by the driver and front passenger in the Nissan Murano.
- Supplemental front-impact air bags, installed for the driver and front passenger as part of the supplemental restraint system.
- Driver and front passenger supplemental knee air bag, with the passenger's side shown in the illustration and the driver's side arranged in a similar position.
- Occupant classification sensor (weight sensor), used at the front passenger seating position to support air bag system operation based on detected occupant conditions.
- Front seat-mounted side-impact supplemental air bag, integrated into the front seat area to provide additional side-impact protection when deployed.
- Folding rear bench seat, designed to provide rear passenger seating and flexible cargo access when the seatback is folded.
- Rear outboard seat-mounted side-impact supplemental air bag, located at the rear outboard seating positions for additional side-impact coverage.
- Rear outboard seat top tether strap anchor, located on the bottom of the seatback and used when securing an appropriate child restraint.
- Seat belt with pretensioner(s) for the rear outboard seats, with the passenger's side shown and the driver's side arranged in a similar way.
Exterior front
- Front view camera, if so equipped, positioned at the front of the vehicle to support camera-based viewing features.
- Engine hood, providing access to the engine compartment for inspection, service, and routine maintenance checks.
- Wiper and washer switch, used by the driver to operate the windshield wiping and washing functions.
- Windshield, the main front glass area that must remain clean and unobstructed for visibility and camera-related systems.
- Multi-sensing front camera, mounted near the upper windshield area and used by applicable driver assistance functions.
- Power moonroof, if so equipped, integrated into the roof area for additional light and ventilation.
- Power windows, operated from the door switch controls to raise or lower the side windows.

Exterior rear
- Antenna arrangement for ProPILOT Assist models. For ProPILOT Assist 2.1 models, there are two antennas on
the roof.
For ProPILOT Assist 1.1 models, there is one antenna. - Rear wiper and washer switch, used to control cleaning of the rear window for improved rearward visibility.
- Rearview camera, positioned to assist with viewing the area behind the vehicle when the system is active.
- Liftgate release, used to open the rear cargo access area of the Nissan Murano.
- Rear sonar sensors, located in the rear bumper area to support parking and proximity detection functions.
- Replacing bulbs, covering rear exterior lighting service points where applicable.
- Radar Sensors, positioned at the rear area for systems that require rear-side or rearward object detection.
- Fuel-filler door
Fuel recommendation, including the location for refueling access and the related fuel guidance. - Child safety rear door lock, used to help prevent rear doors from being opened from inside the vehicle when the lock is engaged.
