System temporarily unavailable

Condition A
If the radar sensor detects interference from another radar source and can no longer reliably identify a vehicle ahead, the I-FCW system is automatically deactivated. The “Driving Aids Temporarily limited Radar interference” warning message will appear in the Nissan Murano vehicle information display to inform the driver that forward-collision warning assistance is temporarily limited.
The AEB with Pedestrian Detection system warning light will also illuminate in orange while the radar interference is affecting system operation.
Action to take:
No manual reset is normally required. Once the radar interference is no longer present and the sensor can operate normally again, the I-FCW system will automatically resume operation.
Condition B
Inclement weather, including rain, fog, snow or similar conditions, may block or interfere with the front radar sensor. When the sensor cannot monitor the area ahead effectively, the I-FCW system will be canceled automatically. The AEB with Pedestrian Detection system warning light will illuminate, and the “Driving Aids Temporarily disabled Clean sensor area See Owner’s Manual” warning message will appear in the vehicle information display.
Action to take:
When the weather conditions that caused the interruption are no longer present, the warning message should disappear from the vehicle information display and normal system operation should become available again. If the “Driving Aids Temporarily disabled Clean sensor area See Owner’s Manual” message remains displayed after conditions improve, the system should be inspected.
It is recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for this service so the radar sensor and related driver-assistance components can be checked.
Condition C
If the radar sensor located in the front bumper is covered by mud, dirt, snow, ice or another material, or if the sensor area is otherwise obstructed, the I-FCW system will be canceled automatically. The AEB with Pedestrian Detection system warning light will illuminate, and the “Driving Aids Temporarily disabled Clean sensor area See Owner’s Manual” warning message will appear in the Nissan Murano vehicle information display.
Action to take:
If this warning message appears, stop the vehicle in a safe location, place the shift position in P (Park), and turn off the engine. Inspect the radar sensor area on the front bumper and carefully remove any mud, dirt, snow, ice or other material that may be interrupting the radar signal. After confirming that the sensor area is clean and unobstructed, restart the engine.
If the “Driving Aids Temporarily disabled Clean sensor area See Owner’s Manual” warning message continues to be displayed after the sensor area has been cleaned and the engine restarted, have the system checked. It is recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for this service.
Condition D
When driving in areas with limited roadside structures or few surrounding buildings, the system may temporarily have difficulty evaluating radar reflections. This may occur on long bridges, in deserts, across snowfields or while traveling beside an extended wall. Under these conditions, the AEB with Pedestrian Detection system warning light may illuminate, and the “Driving Aids Temporarily disabled Clean sensor area See Owner’s Manual” message may appear in the vehicle information display even when the sensor area is not physically covered.
Action to take:
After the Nissan Murano has left the driving environment that caused the temporary limitation and normal surrounding conditions have returned, turn the system back on.
