Engine compartment check locations
2.0L 4 cylinder (KR20DDET engine model)
- Engine coolant reservoir, used as the visible check point for the engine cooling system level during routine inspection.
- Drive belt location, where the belt routing area can be visually checked for general condition and proper placement.
- Engine oil filler cap, the access point used when engine oil is added during maintenance.
- Air cleaner, which houses the intake air filter element and helps keep dust and debris from entering the engine intake system.
- Brake fluid reservoir, the marked container used to check brake fluid level as part of regular under-hood inspection.
- Fuse/Fusible link box, containing electrical protection components for selected vehicle circuits.
- Battery, located in the engine compartment area and used to supply electrical power for starting and vehicle electrical systems.
- Engine oil dipstick, used to check the engine oil level according to the correct inspection procedure.
- Radiator cap, located on the cooling system and handled only with proper care because pressure and heat may be present when the engine is hot.
- Windshield-washer fluid reservoir, the fill point for washer fluid used by the windshield cleaning system.
