Supplemental Restraint System (SRS)
The Supplemental Restraint System, or SRS, is part of the occupant protection design in the Nissan Murano. It is intended to work together with properly fastened seat belts, seating position, head restraints/headrests, and other restraint components to help reduce the risk of injury in certain collisions.
The SRS does not replace the need to wear a seat belt. Every occupant should sit upright, remain properly positioned, and keep the seat belt correctly routed across the body whenever the vehicle is being driven. In the Nissan Murano, the supplemental restraint system is designed to provide additional protection only under specific conditions, and correct seat belt use remains essential for driver and passenger safety.
